Bobby Adekanye Issues Rallying Cry Ahead Showdown With Germany

On loan PSV Eindhoven striker Bobby Adekanye, dubbed the Nigerian Messi, starred for the Holland Under 16s in their 1 - 0 loss to hosts Portugal at the UEFA Development Tournament.

In the wake of the goalless draw with Spain, the Netherlands coach Edwin Petersen made some changes in attack, with Justin Kluivert and Bobby Adekanye dropping to the bench.

Immediately after the restart, Adekanye joined the fray, as Chong made way for the Barcelona loanee.

The 16 year old is still searching for his first international goal after failing to score in his second appearance for the Dutch Under 16 national team.

João Filipe's goal in the second minute of injury time decided the outcome of the game held in the Algarve.

The Oranje Under 16s, who is without a point after two rounds, will tackle their counterparts from Germany on Monday.

''Boys, today, we must win against Germany, '' Bobby Adekanye said briefly in a statement.

Born in Nigeria, the highly rated starlet remains eligible to sport the jersey of the Super Eagles, as he has not been capped at senior level by Holland.
