The number of bomb attacks on Maiduguri on Saturday has risen to five, with the death toll put conservatively at 54.
A France 24 news said besides Baga market, and the bombing close to the Monday market, Borno Express transport company was also bombed but the other two locations were not identified at the time of its 5.30pm broadcast.
The first attack took place around midday and was carried out by a female suicide bomber.
The French TV reports that about 153 people were injured in the attacks.
Five different bomb attacks in one day in one city is unprecedented in the annals of attacks since the Islamist extremists began their bloody campaign in the North-east of Nigeria but there is no confirmation yet that this series of attacks was by Boko Haram, the likely culprit.
