PDP: Southwest Results Will Shock Buhari, APC

The South/West Peoples Democratic Party has declared that the results of the presidential poll in the zone would shock the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Major Gen Muhammadu Buhari.

The Publicity Secretary of the party, Dare Omotosho, said  the coming elections will show that the PDP is in control of the politics of the region.

However, the  APC  would tomorrow flag off  grassroots mobilization for Buhari and other candidates of the party, boasting that the party will spring surprises in all elections in the State owing to large followership it commands among the electorate.

A statemente signed by the Chairman of the media committee of the APC, Ekiti Central senatorial district, Tai Oguntayo, revealed that the rally which comes up in Aramoko Ekiti will involve Ipole Iloro, Ikogosi, Erijiyan, Erio and Aramoko and other notable towns across Ekiti.

Speaking in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday during an interview, Omotosho  said the APC would be disappointed that it was not in control of the zone despite being in control of four out of the six states in the geopolitical zone.

“The position of the few APC people who are very loud  with their propaganda that they are in control of the South-West because they are in government in the region except Ondo and Ekiti states, is false. But as a matter of fact, they are not because the people are with the PDP.

"Their heart is with the PDP, so let them be deceiving themselves. They claim that they are popular with their propaganda in the South-West, where the people know their rights and have their priorities set and they know where they are going. They are not people you can take for a ride. Our people know that the APC has no plan for them," he said.
