Lagos State Command has rescued one
Saheed Kolawole, owner of Scot Hotel, who was reportedly kidnapped at Ikorodu,
Lagos on January 31, 2015.
Seunsmith Networks Innovation Blog from reliable sources gathered that the kidnappers, who initially demanded for
$200,000 as ransom later settled for $100,000 after negotiating with the
victim’s family.
The kidnappers, whose operational
vehicle was a Toyota Corolla with registration number APP626BE directed that
the money be brought to Igbolomu area of Ikorodu.
It was learned that two of the
suspects identified as John Paul and Garba Adamu were arrested while attempting
to escape after collecting the ransom from the victim’s sister.
The victim was then rescued with the
aid of the arrested kidnappers and the ransom money successfully recovered.
Confirming the reports Police Public
Relations officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, said investigation was on-going, and
efforts to arrest the fleeing members was in progress.
