Patrick Friday Eze is currently in the form of his
life after scoring a hattrick to help Mladost beat Spartak Subotica 3-2
in the Serbia top flight league.
Eze got his first goal from the spot in the 9th minute before getting his and his team second of the game in the 25th minute.
He earned the match ball in the 58th minute, once
again from the spot ,to grab a hattrick and give his team a much needed
three, despite a late rally from Subotica, lead by Djorde Ivanovic who
scored a brace.
The victory ended Mladost's poor start to the year
2015 as they lost their last two consecutive games that brought them
close to the relegation zone.
Following the three points picked up, they have now
moved to 9th on the table, one spot and one point ahead of the team they
defeated.
However for Eze, since the resumption of the league
this year 2015, he has only failed to score in just one of the three
games they have played so far, and that was the 2-1 loss to Vojvodina
last week.
The 22-year-old now has 9 goals from 17 games ,a
remarkable feat for the Kaduna-born forward, who scored none in his
first two years in Serbia playing for Rad Beograd and Napredak.
He is now the second highest goal scorer in the league
with 10 goals, four goals behind top scorer Petar Skuletic of Partizan
Belgrade.
